This short movie clip is an introduction to Creative Commons in South Africa and why it is important to develop new approaches to copyright on the Internet. It describes the fictional story of Thandi, a journalist in Soweto, who decides to use a Creative Commons license to make her stories available for all to freely remix and distribute on the Internet. A few weeks later she finds a host of unlikely collaborators who build on her stories and adapt them for use in their own communities.
