Happy holidays

The local Jo’bloggers became some of the first authors in South Africa to dedicate their work to the public domain using the Creative Commons public domain licence. Why they did it?

‘Sometimes it’s not enough to leave things to assumption, especially if you want to make a statement. We want people to know where we stand, the creative commons license we display says it all!’ (Rich)

Happy holidays, friends - and thanks for supporting ccSA in our first months :)

    Hi Heather,

This is great but Jo’bloggers certainly aren’t amoung the first in SA to dedicate their work to the public domain using the Creative Commons public domain licence. A number of sites (such as http://fodder.blogs.com/fodder/) have been using the Creative Commons public domain licence since the beginning of the year and earlier.

Hey Anon, I think, and I stand under correction, that it could be because ours is completely dedicated to the public domain i.e. no rights reserved at all…!
